A blog written by a passionate player
TheAngelMaster is the blog of AngelMaster, a French-speaking player who has loved drawing and video games since childhood. After working as a self-taught graphic designer on several games, he started writing reviews for other sites and posting mini reviews on social media, then gathered everything on his own blog.
More than 430 articles have been published since September 2017, among them over 260 mini reviews. Everything is written in French, in a warm and direct tone that greets readers like friends.
- Over260mini reviewsShort reviews of new releases and indie games, each ending with a Hype score.
- ArtbooksArt books presented with care, in partnership with publishers such as Ankama Éditions.
- InterviewsConversations with creators, bloggers and players about how they make and play games.
- News every monthThe PlayStation Plus games of the month, showcase recaps and a release calendar.
Mini reviews that get to the point
A mini review on TheAngelMaster is short on purpose: a few paragraphs on what the game does well, what holds it back and how long it keeps you busy, then a Hype score given as a percentage. Each one opens with an illustrated thumbnail that sums up the review.
The latest ones cover Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Duskfade, Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Big releases and indie games get the same attention, and the blog works with publishers such as Plaion France, PlayStation France and Maximum Entertainment.

Artbooks and gaming culture
The Artbooks section presents art books devoted to games and their studios, such as The Art of Ankama, the 25th anniversary artbook or the art of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Out of respect for the artists, the blog shows only a few pages and describes the book instead.
Other articles take a step aside from reviews, from a mobile RPG the author got hooked on to recaps of the big showcases such as the Summer Game Fest and the State of Play.

Interviews that give players a voice
The Interviews section gives the floor to an indie studio, a 3D artist, fellow bloggers and players. Several of them talk about playing with a disability, such as Jérémy, a blind gamer who explains how he plays by ear, with a headset that tells him where every sound comes from.
PS Plus, showcases and a release calendar
Every month, a news post lists the games offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers, as for October 2026. The blog also keeps a calendar of the big upcoming releases, updated regularly.
Partners and Coup d’Pouce features
TheAngelMaster also gives visibility to other creators. Its Partnerships page presents fellow bloggers, YouTubers and streamers who share the same passion, and stays open to any site that talks about gaming.
The Coup d’Pouce format highlights a project the author likes. Each one starts with a word of transparency: AngelMaster tells his readers how the partnership came about and why he chose to support it, before describing the project in detail. Readers can answer him in the comments of every article.
